This original material was reinterpreted based on archive materials from a historic weaving shop in Oshu, with the aim of creating a material that can be worn all year round.
The warp threads are made by twisting threads of different colors and counts together and using them as a heathered thread to create a striped rain pattern with depth.
The weft thread is made of a natural yarn and is woven on an old-fashioned shuttle loom to create a twill fabric with the feel of a hand-woven fabric.
It features a countless striped pattern faintly floating amongst a fine raindrop pattern, giving it a unique presence reminiscent of an antique that has been carefully hand-woven.
