Hilde Frunt is one of Belgium's most respected knitters, and all of her JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE hand-knitwear is handmade by her.

Hilde Frunt has been in the fashion business for over 40 years and has worked on knitwear for many Belgian designers, including Raf Simons, Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester and Walter Van Beirendonck.

MERINO WOOL FROM ARLES TWISTED WITH LOCAL FRENCH LINEN, RESULTING IN A STRONG YARN WITH HIGH AIR PERMEABILITY AND DRY HANDLE.

This fabric is made from yarn made by twisting Merino wool from Arles, southern France, with local linen.

It has the breathability and dry feel that are characteristic of linen, while also being sturdy and lightweight for a comfortable fit.
