Combining Amami Oshima's traditional mud dyeing and indigo dyeing, each piece is hand-dyed and dyed in the traditional Japanese "black". Amami Oshima mud dyeing is done by fermenting the liquid made by boiling the Techigi (wheel plum) to create a dyeing solution. If dyed with that alone, it will turn a brownish pink color, so we dye it a deep brown by repeatedly dipping it in the iron-rich mud of Amami Oshima and mordanting it. A single dyeing will only result in a light beige. By repeating this process over and over again, it will become a deep dark brown. Indigo mud color is a deep "black" that can be called blue-black by adding the process of genuine indigo dyeing. Pure black does not exist in nature. In this way, a deep black is created by combining several natural colors to create "black". It will not fade to white, but you can enjoy the gradual changes over time, such as the indigo color and fading of denim.
