Material & Origin

LAMINE'S CREATION FOR THIS COLLECTION DRAWS INSPIRATION FROM THE COLLECTION'S FABRICS.

WITH A STRONG PRESENCE OF HIS CONTEMPLATION. ORIENTED BY NUMERICAL SYSTEMS, EACH HANDWOVEN PANEL IS COMPOSED OF 20 DIFFERENT THREADS, DIVIDED INTO FOUR SECTIONS, THEY ARE RE-ARRANGED AND REPEATED 16 TIMES OVER THE WIDTH OF THE CLOTH. FROM COTTON, HEMP AND LINEN TO YAK. MOHAIR AND OTHER WOOLEN THREADS. THESE ELEMENTS ARE INTERMOVEN TO CREATE A SURFACE WITH AMPLE CONTRAST AND TEXTURES, YIELDING A GLISTENING, STRIPED EFFECT. LIKE THE GENTLE TRICKLE OF WATERFALLS, THEIR AIRY LIGHTNESS ACCUMULATES INTO AN EMBRACING WARMTH.

Manufactured in Antwerp
MADE BY LAMINE DIOUF

This LAMINE piece was inspired by the fabric in this collection.

His deep thoughts are woven together as if guided by a system of numbers.

Using 20 different yarns, the fabric is divided into four sections and reconstructed 16 times across the width.

The interplay of cotton, hemp, linen, yak, mohair and a wide variety of wool yarns creates rich contrasts and a striped, luminous appearance.

It's like a quietly flowing waterfall.

The layered lightness is sublimated into an enveloping warmth.
