MARIA RUDMAN

A creator who inherits Sami traditions and aesthetics

Maria Rudman traveled the world as a model from the age of 17, and has also worked as a stylist and photographer.
Her sense of light and the human body quietly resonates in the presence of her work even today.
Sami traditions and the aesthetics cultivated over a long time.
These are at the root of her work.

SÁMI CRAFT — DUODJI

The traditional craft "Duodji" has been passed down in Scandinavia.
Reindeer leather, buttons carved from antlers, and embroidery stitch by stitch.
It is still quietly being created by a limited number of artisans.

The Sami people have lived with reindeer for a long time.
Food, clothing, tools.
Much of their lives are connected to reindeer.

The leather used in Maria Rudman's work is also
reindeer leather that has been passed down through that culture.

SILVER COLLECTION

In the 17th century, silver was a symbol of "wealth" and "harmony with nature" for the Sami people.
A single piece of silver is shaped with a hammer and finished by the hands of craftsmen.

CLASSIC COLLECTION

Sami embroidery techniques passed down since the 16th century.
Cultivated with the nature of Northern Scandinavia,
each stitch is completed by skilled craftsmanship.
Its quality has been chosen for the attire of the Swedish royal family.
