SUI | Ripple Vessel

stillness held in form

In our everyday lives,
things flow by as if it's natural.

When you suddenly look,
you feel a quiet movement there.

Water and ripples.

Every time something moves in the water,
many ripples spread across the surface.

The sensation of a splash, or a falling drop.

Before you know it, that spread
gently exists in your daily life,

and though it takes a visible form,
it seems to quietly expand and eventually overlap.

The ripple that started from a small trigger
might be reaching somewhere
without us even noticing.

Like a casual word
or a moment of kindness.

If there's just enough space left
to suddenly find beauty in that moment.

The world breathes in the same rhythm.

Living, too,
opens from within to without,
and then quietly returns to oneself.

Born from such an image,
the glass vessel "SUI".

It can be used as an incense holder,
or as a dish for sweets.

Each piece can be used in daily life
as various types of vessels.

S approx. φ80 mm
M approx. φ115 mm
L approx. φ160 mm

Three glass pieces, one paper incense holder
Four-piece set

* Due to being handmade,
there may be slight individual differences.

With its thickness and air bubbles that
become beautiful when hit by light,
this vessel makes you want to use it forever
and you find yourself
naturally wanting to pick it up.

While smooth to the touch,
its solid thickness makes it
a reliable glass vessel for daily use.

This vessel is
individually crafted by glass artist Kazuhiro Hayashi.

He carefully considered our ideas
and, through trial and error,
brought them into form.

We hope you can also feel
his quiet craftsmanship.
