In the flow of everyday life,
so much passes almost unnoticed.
When we pause and look,
we begin to notice a quiet movement.
Water and ripples.
Whenever something moves through the water,
ripples spread across the surface.
A small splash, a falling drop.
Before we notice,
these movements have quietly become part of everyday life.
Taking visible form,
they spread quietly and begin to overlap.
A ripple born from something small
may reach somewhere beyond our knowing.
Like a passing word,
or an unexpected gesture of kindness.
To notice the beauty of such a moment —
perhaps it is enough to leave a little space for it.
The world breathes in a shared rhythm.
Living, too,
opens from within towards the outside,
then quietly returns within.
From this image came
the glass vessels SUI.
As an incense holder.
As a vessel for sweets.
Each piece can be used in different ways,
becoming part of everyday life.

As each piece is made by hand,
slight variations will occur.
The glass has a generous thickness,
with small bubbles within that catch the light beautifully.
Made to be used for years,
it is the kind of vessel
you find yourself naturally reaching for.
Smooth to the touch,
with a reassuring thickness,
it is a glass vessel made for everyday use.
Each vessel is made by hand
by glass artist Kazuhiro Hayashi.
He listened carefully to what we imagined,
working through many trials
to bring SUI into form.
We hope you can also feel
something of the quiet handwork behind each piece.
