MARIA RUDMAN|crafted over time
MARIA RUDMAN
crafted over time
Duodji, the traditional Sámi craft
passed down through generations in Lapland.
Reindeer leather.
Buttons carved from antler.
Embroidery, stitch by stitch.
Skills shaped through everyday life
and still carried on today.
Drawing from this heritage, Maria Rudman
established her brand in Paris,
bringing together the clear air of the North
and the sensibility of the city.
Each piece is slowly handcrafted by skilled artisans
and naturally made in limited numbers.
Each one carries the time of its making.
With time, the leather develops a deeper lustre,
while the silver takes on a softer, richer glow.
This is not deterioration,
but a patina that develops through everyday life.
TAN may deepen with time until it appears almost black.
The photograph shows one example of a beautifully aged piece.
As the wearer's own time becomes part of the piece,
it develops a character entirely its own.
Time Worn
Made to stay with you, quietly, for years.
BORDEAUX has presented
Maria Rudman's work for many years.
As something beyond passing trends.
We introduce a small selection of pieces
as we encounter them over time.

Not for a season,
but to grow more beautiful with time.
