These handwoven fabrics, made from hand-spun yarn in Eri silk, are an effect of collaboration between JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE and 7WEAVES.
The base of ‘Grey Peaks’ fabric remained undyed, whilst the inlay yarns making up the pattern come to life thanks to natural dyes.
Irregularity of the motives throughout the fabrics is an effect of freehand processes used to create the textiles and are an outcome of an interpretative work of artisans creating them.
この手織り生地は、JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE と 7WEAVES のコラボレーションによって生まれました。
手紡ぎのエリシルク を使用し、職人の手によって丁寧に織り上げられています。
『Grey Peaks』 の生地は、ベース部分を無染色のまま残し、模様を構成する糸には天然染料 を使用。
フリーハンドで織り上げられたこの生地は、職人たちの感性を映し出し、不規則な模様が唯一無二の表情を生み出しています。
